Wonderland

Over two years in the planning and design development working closely with our clients, this astounding house sits at the very top of Queenstown overlooking the entire town below, reaching out to the magnificent Lake Wakatipu and mountains beyond.  With a view like this, the interior design had to not only be equally magnificent, but also understated, allowing the view to take centre stage.

Our clients, a dynamic young family, initially wanted to design this as their ultimate Queenstown holiday home, but after the years of planning and meticulous detail in every aspect, they loved it so much they moved there permanently! 

Set over three levels, all with commanding views, the use of ubiquitous schist (stone), beautiful soft timber floors and walls and elegant cabinetry throughout the entire house has resulted in the ultimate and beautiful response to this totally unique location.  Custom-made furniture, cabinetry and fittings were shipped over to site, together with specially designed lighting which literally softly glows over the town in the evenings. 

We have worked with this fabulous family for many years, with various projects, and we are all incredibly proud and happy with the outcome.
