Modernist
This stunning modernist house in Noosa is a masterpiece on its own. As interior designers, we added warmth to the severity of the off-form concrete construction by enhancing the architectural features with textiles, textures and colour.
The lounge has a double height ceiling with windows on all sides. Di expertly designed a warm and inviting space that complements and blends with the architecture, allowing the framed view beyond to be the main focus of the space. The clients love the mid-century modern look so clean lines and minimalistic shapes were introduced, while still playing with texture, pattern and colour.
When designing the powder room, Di created a zen, meditative space, a sort of oasis in the centre of a concrete masculinity. Sharp lines, muted colours, matte black fixtures and low feature lights create a luxurious, yet simple look, which the clients absolutely love.
The master bedroom allowed for more colour and opulent fabrics as Di’s vision was to design a soothing retreat for the clients. Different textures in varying blue hues have elevated the space and brought the colours of the sky right into the room.
