What do you do when you have one of the very best sites on the whole Sunshine Coast and a clean slate on which to create the very best family home for an executive couple and their children? You start with a wishlist, a good building designer, builder and the Di Henshall Interior Design team. By collaborating with all stakeholders, in particular, the dynamic couple who saw a vision for the site, we helped to create a masterpiece. Although plans were already in place, we saw opportunities to develop and enhance the layout to suit the family to a tee.

Lighting plays a huge role in “getting it right” and we spent a lot of energy perfecting the lighting design and plans. All cabinetry, including a dream kitchen, pantry, scullery and adjoining laundry were all top on the list of priorities. The homeowners are environmentally aware and wanted the house to reflect their own feelings about nature and their beautiful surroundings, so we set about including finishes such as the exquisite, tiled feature wall that divides the kitchen/dining area from the formal sitting room that mimics nature itself. Softened wall finishes, furnishings and cabinetry were all taken into consideration to arrive at the stunning family home it has become today.
