Brisbane Inner City Bar and Restaurant
This dark and uninteresting inner city bar and restaurant was purchased with the vision of making it somewhere people could have a cocktail, listen to music and a bite to eat.
Di has transformed it into a 1955 “Rat Pack” style hang-out. Luxurious velvet, leather and intimate lighting grace smaller conversation nooks while retro-style wallpaper gives a sense of that golden era. Custom photographic wallpaper has been aptly used in a number of areas while a commissioned Marilyn Monroe painting that measures two metres wide takes centre stage.
Use of objets d’art and bar carts in gold give the space the opulent feel of the Rat Pack years while cleverly placed pendant lights create intimate spaces allowing patrons to feel like they have been transported back in time. Not one space has been untouched, this includes the now funky bathrooms…everywhere you look there is something to catch your eye. This is just what the client wanted, somewhere everyone will want to hang out with friends for a meal and some great times!
