Melbourne Hotel

Taylors Lakes Hotel is located ten minutes from Melbourne airport. We were engaged to provide the design for the fit out of a new wing, plus the total refurbishment of the existing hotel. The brief was to create rooms that would appeal to the hotel’s diverse range of guests including corporate clients, conference delegates, wedding guests, families and passengers in transit. The scope of work included designs for custom made wardrobes, wall units incorporating bar fridges, luggage racks, custom designed furniture, guest lounges, lobbies and all public walkways.

Quirky design features were included in this luxurious, yet very practical, fit-out of the hotel, including faux books giving a more intimate atmosphere for weary travellers.

Generous ensuite bathrooms were finished in faux timber porcelain tiles, large expanses of mirror and concealed lighting.

The guest lounge and bar is proving to be one of the most popular and well patronized venues in the whole hotel complex. A deliberately understated neutral palette is punctuated by crisp black statements, including the hat stand and funky light alcove. A startling punch of blue glass wrapping around the bar together with beautiful lighting creates a fantastic party atmosphere.
